New Midi Air
Conditioning Unit

The increasing
number of cyclic corrosion test (CCT) specifications across industry often need
to expose test samples to periods of 'controlled ambient' conditions – a
requirement that is now addressed by the latest air conditioning unit from
Ascott Analytical.
The new 'Midi'
design provides controlled, ambient climates within a cyclic corrosion test
chamber, independent of the temperature and humidity of the room in which the
chamber is located.
"A more compact
and cost effective alternative to larger scale technology, it will be of
relevance to a range of customers, particularly those in the automotive
industry," says Chris Gates, MD of Ascott Analytical.
"The new unit
avoids issues that can arise from a reliance on room conditions – which can vary
significantly over time," he continues. "It connects directly to the test
chamber to provide sufficient refrigeration and dehumidification to comply with
ambient exposure requirements of a number of key test standards." In this
context, Ascott highlights DIN 50 014, VDA 621-415 and CETP
00.00-L-467(Ford).
"The 'Midi'
reflects our commitment to developing accessories and equipment that help to
maximise the performance of CCT and salt spray chambers, and recognises
corrosion testing as a vital element in product development and production,"
concludes Chris Gates.
